The Stock Show is a pretty darn big deal in Denver. With a really long history, the Stock Show is sort of like a step back to a simpler time – except for it is full of new farming technology and innovation that is always really interesting to check out.
Of course, with four kids we always end up spending a ton of time in the Hall of Education, the petting zoo, and of course the tempting booths full of western-themed goods.
Check out the National Western Stock Show website for all of the information that you need to know before heading down to the rodeo!
My best tips?
- If at all possible either go early or go during a weekday.
- Wear layers that are easy to take on/off and carry – the temperature between the different buildings as well as outside pretty much guarantees that someone is going to be too hot or cold at some point.
- Wear comfortable shoes that don’t mind getting dirty – it’s a huge space, and well, there are lots of animals.
- Make sure to check out a rodeo if possible, they are really fun to watch and if you’ve never been to one, then you should!
