Encompassing the natural area between Parker and Jordan Roads
Size: 75 acre park
Park Hours: Dawn to dusk
Features: Step into a natural riparian area right in the middle of town and learn about the native plant and wildlife species that thrive in this educational nature preserve along the Cherry Creek Regional Trail.
Enjoy the crusher fine trails that wind to overlooks of the small pond or meandering Cherry Creek. Stroll along the wood boardwalk that crosses the wetlands and view the pond up close on the floating dock.
Interpretive signage within the park gives the visitor a glimpse of local natural and cultural history. Other amenities include: trailhead parking area, school bus turnaround/student drop-off , covered picnic gazebo, outdoor classroom and restrooms.
In an eff ort to protect water quality and wildlife, dogs must be on a leash and are not permitted in some areas of the park.
History: This park is the result of a partnership between Arapahoe County and the Parker Jordan Metropolitan District to provide both natural resource education and recreational opportunities in southern Arapahoe County.
